The Challenge:
Avid were looking for a technology partner with cloud expertise in
Collaboration, Review & Approvals. After winning the Best in Show at
NAB2018 in Las Vegas, Overcast was chosen as the Alliance Partner to supply
this key cloud solution and infrastructure.
The Solution:
Build and integrate a bespoke Review & Approvals solution for Avid’s
MediaCentral | CloudUX platform. Available both online and offline for
Air Gapped environments. (See image below)
The Result:
We designed an intuitive collaboration platform that anyone could use –
editors, producers, executives and clients. The ease of use of the UI allows
Avid to bring more users as paid subscriptions.
For the clients, the result has been the ability to reduce Review and
Approvals by hours, and in some cases days, by being able to share content
and get feedback without ever having to leave the platform. Ultimately, the
collaboration becomes searchable metadata that is then associated with the
